‘Multiple Injuries’ Reported At Great Mills High School
March 20, 2018The FBI is investigating yet another package-related explosion out of Texas. This particular explosion happened at a FedEx facility near San Antonio, but authorities suspect there’s a link to the string of bombings in Austin. Why? Because the package was headed to Austin. It was filled with nails and shrapnel.
The explosion happened at about 12:30 a.m. at the facility on Doerr Lane, located near Nacogdoches Road and FM 3009. Investigators said the package was moving from an upper conveyor belt to a lower one when it detonated.
A female employee standing nearby was treated at the scene for a headache related to a possible concussion, but none of the 75 employees inside the facility were seriously injured. They were later moved by bus to another location to be interviewed.
No serious injuries– thank GOD.
FedEx released the following statement:
We can confirm that a single package exploded while in a FedEx Ground sortation facility early this morning. One team member is being treated for minor injuries. We are working closely with law enforcement in their investigation. We are not providing any additional specific information about this package at this time.
According to the source, investigators are “treating it as being linked to four bombings in the Austin area over recent weeks.”
