The White House has announced plans to form a blue-ribbon panel to study “sensitive” matters related to school safety, like raising the age limit on purchasing a firearm.
For some reason completely beyond me, CNN had David Hogg respond. I’m not saying these kids shouldn’t have a voice. I just don’t think MSM should waste time talking to students who actively brag about hanging up on the White House. David isn’t interested in true bipartisan solutions. He’s made it ABUNDANTLY clear to just about everyone. He proved it during this interview. He didn’t seem opposed to the idea of the White House’s proposal, but instead of focusing on that, he decided to talk about how Betsy DeVos– who will oversee the commission– “basically paid for her position.”
How is a divisive remark like that a meaningful contribution to the conversation, David?
Oh. And then he ended his spiel by saying that the NRA is “terrorizing” children. It’s his constant cherry on top.
"Betsey DeVos basically paid for her position…I think she's not the right person for this," says Florida shooting survivor David Hogg after WH unveils plan to establish a school safety commission chaired by the US Education Secretary https://t.co/JoA2GXoPwB pic.twitter.com/NgPFbiOkOq

David is in the business of smearing. THAT’S why I don’t want to hear a word he has to say. He had a chance to prove himself, and he blew it repeatedly.
Dear Liberals: #DavidHogg is an expert when discussing what it’s like to experience trauma.
He clearly has no expertise in gun policy, nor politics in general.
Don’t conflate the two. pic.twitter.com/4BisEKyTE2

Starting to think David Hogg and his friends are beginning to undermine their own effort with overexposure on unrelated topics.

Hogg smears people he disagrees with politically every single time he appears on tv and yet CNN continues to give him a platform every few days without challenging him on it. It's ridiculous and CNN is complicit in the smears. https://t.co/owDMXj41MT

Either treat him like an adult and hold him accountable for the things he says or don't invite him on. It's that simple.

Don’t call me insensitive. I know this kid went through serious trauma, but his classmate Kyle Kashuv continues to prove that you CAN be civil and talk to both sides without screaming, “THE NRA IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION!” every five minutes.
Come on, @davidhogg111, this isn't you. You're not a bad guy. Why are we vilifying good people (I am guilty of it too). The Honorable Betsy DeVos is a very good person.
Can we, together, agree to not make fun of people moving forward? Let's push change not divisiveness. https://t.co/APiyYrYa9l

Look, politics aside,we need 2 respect our elected and appointed officials. You can disagree with every single word of policy that they say, but be respectful.

I have looked up what the Secretary of Education had done. That is exactly why I am excited, honored, and privileged to hopefully be meeting with The Honorable Betsy DeVos, Secratery of Education. We will be discussing SCHOOL safety. I am excited to learn from the Secratery. https://t.co/PlhdvuMXZe
