He’s LITERALLY not approving this nominee for being WHITE.
“Quattlebaum replaces not one, but two scuttled Obama nominees who were African American…I’ll be voting no.”
Can we stop and consider how DERANGED this is?!
Just for one moment… can we stop and consider what would happen if this were said about ANY other race of person?
WHY IS THIS OK?! It used to be that “race didn’t matter.” Now race is the ONLY thing that matters.

In addition, Senator Schumer did not oppose a recent white nominee in South Carolina also nominated by President Trump.

Marvin Quattlebaum is uniquely well qualified for the bench and universally respected by all in South Carolina. Hopefully Senator Schumer can find a way to look at really unusual factors (like qualifications) in the future.
