Rachel Crooks accused Trump of kissing her on an elevator and asking for her number.
Truly horrific stuff we’re dealing with here, obviously.
Anyway, Trump hit back yesterday. Why would he “forcibly” kiss anyone in a public place with obvious security cameras running?
People are FREAKING OUT, because OF COURSE THEY ARE.
“OMG! Is he saying he WOULD rape her in private??!! OMG! OMG!”
Um… no… he’s putting her ridiculous allegation in to question. Because he totally has a point.
Anyway… she’s running for Ohio legislature so she has to milk this for all its worth…
And she’s saying Trump should be veeeeery afraid.
Lovely.
A woman who says Donald Trump kissed her without consent 12 years ago insisted Tuesday night that he ‘should be afraid’ of her because she’s telling the truth about his alleged sexual harassment.
Rachel Crooks, 35, is running for a seat in Ohio’s state legislature, and has seen her profile skyrocket since the president lashed out at her on Twitter yesterday.
‘His whole approach to this has been to deny the allegation of myself and … almost 20 women who have come forward. So it’s not surprising,’ Crooks said Tuesday night on CNN.
‘But I would think as our president he would have more important things to do than tweet at me and try to discredit my story. I know what’s true, he knows what’s true and I think he should be afraid of that.’
Trump swatted away Crooks’ accusation Tuesday in a pair of tweets, claiming that a Washington Post story about her claims is ‘Fake News.’
Crooks, 35, is running for a seat in the Ohio legislature – mostly, she says, so she can have a platform to tell the story of a day when Trump mashed his face against hers without an invitation.
Wednesday on ‘CBS This Morning,’ she swept aside Trump’s official shoulder-shrug, saying that she is ‘not surprised that he would deny the allegations, because that seems to be his common response.’
‘But my response is it absolutely happened,’ Crooks insisted.
‘President Trump is the one that seems to be immune to all of this for whatever reason,’ she added. ‘Apparently, we don’t want to hold the president accountable. But I think if anyone should be held accountable it should be him.’
Trump is having none of it.
‘A woman I don’t know and, to the best of my knowledge, never met, is on the FRONT PAGE of the Fake News Washington Post saying I kissed her (for two minutes yet) in the lobby of Trump Tower 12 years ago. Never happened!’ he wrote on Tuesday.
‘Who would do this in a public space with live security cameras running. Another False Accusation.’
Crooks recalled the alleged kiss in a group conversation witnessed by a Post reporter.
‘It happened right by the elevators,’ she said, talking about an encounter at Trump Tower at age 22, where she was working as a receptionist at Bayrock Group, a company Trump sometimes did business with.
‘He started kissing me on one cheek, then the other cheek. He was talking to me in between kisses, asking where I was from, or if I wanted to be a model. He wouldn’t let go of my hand, and then he went right in and started kissing me on the lips.’
‘It felt like a long kiss,’ Crooks told the gathering, a confab of women intended to drum up support for her political campaign.
‘The whole thing probably lasted two minutes, maybe less.’
Yeah… don’t expect her to go away any time soon.
