I reported yesterday that the FBI received a tip about Nikolas Cruz, the Florida High School shooter last fall after leaving comments on YouTube videos stating he wanted to be a “professional school shooter.”
The FBI responded that they didn’t do anything about the tip because they “couldn’t track him down” which is absolute HORSECRAP. The guy used his FULL NAME in posting the comments.
Well… it turns out this wasn’t the only tip they received. They received a tip about Nikolas Cruz as recently as last month… and totally ignored it.
The FBI could have done something to stop this tragedy… they had plenty of chances. They just didn’t.
According to the NY Daily News:
The FBI admitted Friday that it failed to take any action after a tipster called last month to report that Florida mass shooter Nikolas Cruz had a “desire to kill people.”
A person close to Cruz contacted the FBI on Jan. 5 expressing concerns about his “gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting,” the department said.
The call should have been deemed a “potential threat to life” and forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office.
Cruz, 19, went on to carry out a bloody rampage at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday — killing 17 people and wounding 14 others.
“We are still investigating the facts,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public.
I am absolutely sickened by this.
Guns don’t kill people… people kill people… and the FBI had every opportunity to stop this guy.
