Police have responded to what’s been described as a “mass casualty incident” at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. There are a number of injuries– they said 20 to 50– and a number of fatalities. This video is absolutely horrifying.

My heart is breaking.
They currently have a suspect in custody. He’s been identified as a “former student.”
UPDATE: Police are currently looking for suspicious devices on #Parkland campus as gunman Nicolhas Cruze researched how to make bombs at his computer – reports

President Trump has tweeted about the tragedy.
My prayers and condolences to the families of the victims of the terrible Florida shooting. No child, teacher or anyone else should ever feel unsafe in an American school.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 14, 2018
Just spoke to Governor Rick Scott. We are working closely with law enforcement on the terrible Florida school shooting.

Like clockwork, the left is calling for gun control. They don’t even wait anymore, because they’re completely CLASSLESS. They IMMEDIATELY use tragedy to push their gross political agenda. It’s sick.
The NRA has blood on its hands once again. They stand in the way of every fix. What’s happening in Parkland is preventable. That’s not an opinion, it is reality. There is a special place in hell for you, @NRA. When will the lives of children mean more than gun profits?
— Bob Cunningham ❄ (@BCunningham215) February 14, 2018
No. That absolutely IS an opinion. Schools are already gun free zones, you blazing moron.
Shame on any lawmaker or pro-@NRA pundit who offers ONLY thoughts and prayers today – without action, your hollow words make you complicit in the frequent, senseless, preventable slaughter of school-aged children.

The White House & Congress will respond to America's epidemic of school shootings with flurries of invisible thoughts & prayers for Parkland, Florida. Because actually doing something might save *your* child, but could lose *their* #NRA check. pic.twitter.com/nVbu5LJytf

And yet another school shooting, this time at a High School in Parkland, Florida. How many innocent kids need to die before we get proper gun control in America?#FloridaShooting

“Thoughts and prayers” again? When will you stop allowing children to be slaughtered? 2nd amendment doesn’t mean it should be as easy to get a gun as it is to get a slice of pizza. #floridashooting

It’s not. But keep spouting lies in the midst of this tragedy. You’re really helping.
We've experienced *87 school shootings* during Trump's presidency.
You'd think he'd figure out we need to do more than think and pray. We need to make guns HARDER to get.
But @NRA spent $30,000,000 to election Trump. All he's doing is promoting its "guns everywhere" agenda. https://t.co/j7fqwdjbF0

youre bought and paid for by the nra. you help to make this happen.
— Oliver Willis (@owillis) February 14, 2018
Tweety: you can stick your thoughts and prayers up your a$$. Children are dieing and you continue to line your pockets with millions from the NRA. Their blood is on your hands.
— Jon Matzner (@UconnWins) February 14, 2018
School shootings now represent a national public health emergency involving our most vulnerable population. We need Congress to act, the NRA to stand down, and all our Level 1 trauma centers to be ready. #Parkland
— Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) February 14, 2018
We are the only developed nation where this level of gun violence occurs.
We know what the problem is and how to fix it. And yet the @GOP continues to allow the @NRA to put our children's lives in danger.
When will we say enough?
— Remy Carreiro (@Remy_Anne) February 14, 2018
As you can see, we don’t even have all the details, and the left has already decided that the NRA and its members did this.
Let's say the government bans guns tomorrow. Bad people don't turn their guns in. Shootings continue. Then who or what do you blame? #Parkland
— Jay Pack (@packdoggy) February 14, 2018
Exactly. This was an evil act caused by an evil, POS person. I’m also seeing reports that the suspect was seeking information on making bombs. If he pulled that off…then what? What would the narrative be then?
I think I’m going to be sick. My heart breaks for all affected.
