Well, North And South Korea Officially Marched As One

The world is head over heels in love with the fact that North and South Korea marched together during the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

Don’t even get me STARTED on Kim Jong-un’s hag of a sister. (Is that too harsh? Maybe she actually hates her brother but is too afraid to say anything, because she doesn’t want him to suicide her. It’s possible.)

I watched the ceremony last night and was less than thrilled. I’m actually really disappointed that South Korea even allowed this to happen. In so many ways, it felt like they were giving North Korea legitimacy it doesn’t deserve. Citizens of NK AREN’T ALLOWED TO LEAVE.

If you seriously believe that allowing a disgusting dictator to send some of his puppets to compete against the world in a few friendly competitions will lead to peace, you’re high.

The people aren’t allowed to speak ill of the government. They’re shoved in concentration camps, starved and killed. This is a load of bull.

To make matters worse, a bunch of people sang a version of “Imagine” during the opening ceremony (full disclosure: I HATE that hippie garbage song), and it was the the most fruity, idiotic thing I’ve ever seen.

“Oh yeah. Let’s pretend that everything is so great. Flowers, rainbows, love, peace and happiness. Meanwhile, our mentally unstable neighbor to the north has threatened to nuke us and the world like a kajillion times, and they’re MURDERING THEIR OWN PEOPLE.” Are you kidding me, South Korea?

North Koreans don’t have to imagine not having possessions and being hungry. That is their reality. Imagine that.

I’m not trying to crap on their parade. I just think a reality check is in order.

I actually thought about that. I watched the opening ceremony with my dad and floated that idea, and he made a good point. These people have families. If they step out of line or try to pull ANY kind of funny business, it basically guarantees that everyone they love will be brutally tortured and ultimately murdered. Do they really want to risk that?

This is so stupid. I’m sorry. I’m not buying this.
