Memo Madness: President Trump Just Confirmed What We All Knew To Be True

On Friday, the Trump administration announced that it would not release Schiff’s counter-memo at this time.

“Although the President is inclined to declassify the February 5th [Democratic] Memorandum, because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive passages, he is unable to do so at this time,” White House counsel Donald McGahn wrote. “However, given the public interest in transparency in these unprecedented circumstances, the President has directed that Justice Department personnel be available to give technical assistance to the Committee, should the Committee wish to revise the February 5th Memorandum to mitigate the risks identified by the Department.”

“The Executive branch stands ready to review any subsequent draft of the February 5th Memorandum for declassification at the earliest opportunity,” McGahn added.

President Trump isn’t opposed to releasing the memo. That much is clear.

As we’ve said before, this was by design. Democrats deliberately structured the counter-memo this way.

They wanted to force Trump to send it back for revisions. They wanted him to look shady and non-transparent. That’s why they’re now all, “Wow! President Trump is a total hypocrite, and he’s obviously hiding something HUGE!” Think I’m exaggerating? They’re already doing that.

This move by @realDonaldTrump confirms what we have all known for weeks — that his decision to release the #NunesMemo was a blatantly political move made without concern for national security. The hypocrisy is on full display. What does the President have to hide?

I already knew we were right about this, but it doesn’t hurt to get a little confirmation from POTUS.

The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency. Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!

I love that Trump just puts it all out there. This is where Twitter really comes in handy. It’s crucial that Trump talks directly to the American people on matters like this, because Democrats are doing everything in their power to distort the truth.
