OMG. Last night, I stumbled across this meme on social media and shared it with our writers, because it made me giggle, and I knew it’d make them giggle, and I knew they’d then also share it and that many of our reasonable, common-sense followers would also get a giggle out of it.
I was not prepared for so many conservatives to act like feminist harpies who find reasons to be outraged over freaking MEMES.
Here’s the pic in question.
HA HA HA HA HA! 😀
Anyway, if you’re a person who read that, and simply because you wear your hair short, you decide to be offended by it? You need a reality check, a tune-up to your sense of humor, and someone to explain to you that YOU ARE NOT A RICH FEMALE CELEBRITY.
But yeah – all kinds of chicks on our FB page got mad, because they apparently are under the mistaken impression that they themselves are rich female celebrities, even though in reality the only thing they have in common with the celebs pictured above is short hair.
Check this out.
I love when people think we have the time to read the thousands and thousands of comments on our FB page and personally mark certain ones as spam. We’re not robots, folks. If your comment is getting marked as spam, it’s because you’ve tripped one of the millions of persnickety Facebook algorithms, probably because you’ve included a link to something. We have neither the time nor inclination to go around marking comments as spam. Please.
You’re not sure what we’re getting at? IT’S A FREAKING MEME, clearly meant for people who can take a joke in the spirit in which it’s intended. Holy crap. It’s not disparaging other women based on their hairstyles. It’s mocking those four RICH FEMALE CELEBRITIES AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS REQUIRES EXPLANATION.
Please point out, in the meme, where it pre-judges or compares or cuts down 100% of women with short hair. I look forward to it.
I knew liberal feminists were humorless. I had no idea the humorlessness had spread into the conservative ranks, and I have to say, it’s massively disappointing.
PSA from the Chicks. Memes are not meant to be taken seriously – like EVER. If you find yourself becoming offended by memes, you probably need to take a break from the internet, for your own sake and for the sake of everyone.
GAWD.
