Controversial Actor Was SCRUBBED From ‘Mutant’ Vanity Fair Cover At The Last Minute

I already talked about this cover once….

Because either someone’s trolling Vanity Fair, REALLY sucks at their job, or Reese Witherspoon and Oprah are secretly mutants.

Anywayyyyyy… there’s more to talk about. This time it’s about who DIDN’T make the cut.

James Franco.

He was scrubbed at the last minute.

(maybe that’s where the extra arms and legs came from?)

According to this:

James Franco was digitally removed from Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Issue cover after sexual misconduct allegations were made against him by a group of actresses, the magazine confirmed on Thursday.

The much-anticipated Hollywood Portfolio edition whose cover was unveiled on Thursday shows 12 heavyweights from the entertainment world under the headline: ’12 Extraordinary Stars, One Momentous Year.’

But it was only learned late Thursday that the cover was supposed to include a 13th star – Franco.

The magazine confirmed on Thursday that Franco was deleted from the cover after it was learned earlier this month that five women alleged he had behaved inappropriately or in a manner that was sexually exploitative.

As you may know by now, accusations started flooding in after he won a Golden Globe a few weeks back.

He has not been nominated for an Oscar, which many see as a direct response to the allegations.

And the responses prove that the #MeToo burnout is real.

It is great we are really listening to women, but why should I automatically believe them? If there are allegations they should be taken seriously and investigated. I feel the #metoo movement is becoming #toomuch. We are treating allegations as guilty verdicts it seems.

I’m not a fan of Franco’s. But has he been convicted. I find the witch hunt on so many people, with no legal activity repulsive.

I'm on the fence about this one, it appears tp me that women are coming out of the woodwork to accuse men of sexual misconduct. IMO, if one is going to accuse someone of this, their identity should be known bc there are many looking to cash in. It seems 2b guilty b4 innocent too.

I understand why Vanity Fair removed him from the cover. But, I strongly believe all of these accusations should be investigated. People’s lives and careers have been tainted forever.

I think we need to be very careful in weighing the consequences of the me too issues. There are varying degrees of inappropriateness…and should be varying degrees of resulting consequences. I still feel that we got it wrong on Al Franken.
