Chuck Schumer is a sniveling wuss of a man. He shut down the government for absolutely no reason, realized that his “message” was falling flat and caved. He gained nothing. He only managed to tick both sides off. We’re ticked because he shut the government down for no reason. It was political grandstanding. Liberals are ticked that he didn’t stand his ground and demand a DACA deal tied to the budget.
It’s all so stupid. A debate on DACA and immigration was going to happen no matter what. He gained nothing, yet he’s trying to act like he’s some sort of master negotiator. Get on his level, Trump.
We will vote today to reopen the government, to continue negotiating a global agreement, with the commitment that, if an agreement is not reached by Feb 8th, the Senate will immediately proceed to consideration of legislation dealing with DACA. The process will be neutral & fair.

I am confident that there are sixty votes in the Senate for a DACA deal. And now there is a real pathway to get a bill on the floor and through the Senate. It is a good solution and I will vote for it.
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) January 22, 2018
I expect @SenateMajLdr to fulfill his commitment to the Senate & abide by this agreement. If he does not honor our agreement, he will have breached the trust of not only the Democratic Senators but the members of his own party as well.
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) January 22, 2018
The GOP Majority now has 17 days to prevent #Dreamers from being deported. In every possible way, urge your Senators to vote yes on our bipartisan compromise to #ProtectDreamers when it comes to the floor.

You hear that? He expects McConnell to hold up his end of the deal. But Schumer? He doesn’t have to negotiate. He’s already made it crystal clear that he’s not interested. His people informed the White House that he will no longer consider funding the wall.
The Senate minority leader, through an aide, informed the White House on Monday that he was retracting the offer he made last week to give Trump well north of the $1.6 billion in wall funding Trump had asked for this year, according to two Democrats. And now they say Trump will simply not get a better deal than that on his signature campaign promise.
Schumer “took it off,” said Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the No. 2 Senate Democrat. “He called the White House yesterday and said it’s over.”
What a slimy POS. I’m not surprised by this move, but it still makes him a slimy POS. This is his way of trying to appease his angry base. See? He’s standing up to Trump again! He’ll show him! This is payback for making him look like a fool for shutting down the government for no reason!
This might immediately satisfy his base, but Trump and the GOP won’t stand for it. The wall is an essential component of this deal. Trump made that abundantly clear.
Schumer’s not doing himself any favors. Schumer’s putting his dopey feelings about the wall ahead of the well-being of Dreamers!
See how easy that was? Is that the narrative he wants? Because it’s coming.
Everyone is keeping their word, except Chuck Schumer, who is now saying there will be no funding for a border wall. He is just dying to shut our government down….again.

This DACA dance is all kabuki theater. No deal is in the offing. https://t.co/miwh3xP9EL

Schumer is making another yuge mistake by removing $$ for the big beautiful WALL. DACA will not be approved w/out the wall, end chain migration, and end lottery system.
Period. End of discussion. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸#FtheLeft #MAGA #BuildTheWall 😎

Colleauge Mike Emanuel rpts Schumer aide confirms Schumer withdrew his offer of a boost in funding for President Trump’s proposed Border wall. This had been an incentive to get a deal

SOMEBODY’s NOT Serious in the #ImmigrationReform Battle.
Is this the hill you want to die on Schumer?

#SchumerShutdown #DemocratShutdown Schumer has pulled his offer to fund the border wall. Trump said no wall – no DACA. Is Schumer once again playing to his ultra liberal left and planning on another government shutdown?

One Democratic aide said Trump “missed an opportunity to get the wall.”
HAHA. We’ll see about that. Schumer does NOT want to go toe to toe with Trump again. It won’t go well for him. Think about it. Now what? He’s going to HAVE to cave on the wall. Trump has made it clear he’s not bending on that. So now, when Schumer inevitably caves, he’s going to enrage his base all over again.
This is the move of a political novice, Chuck.
The truth? The Democrats aren’t interested in striking a deal. They want to use the Dreamer issue as long as possible. They don’t actually want a solution. If they did, they would vow to fund the wall and end chain migration. But they can’t do that, because that would help stop illegal immigration, which they like. They need illegal immigrants for political purposes. The Democratic Party’s future electoral success depends on it. Just ask Jennifer Palmieri.
“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” Palmieri’s memo reads.
“If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond,” she wrote. “In short, the next few weeks will tell us a lot about the Democratic Party and its long-term electoral prospects.”
That’s all you need to know about Chuck and his pals.
