The government shutdown drama has been dominating the news cycle. It’s really difficult to get into it, because they ALWAYS get themselves into this mess. Republicans blame Democrats, Democrats blame Republicans, there’s a bunch of drama, crazy lawmakers like Feinstein suggest people will die and so on.
You know the drill.
Government shutdowns aren’t ideal, but they’re NOT the end of the world. The federal government isn’t going to completely stop functioning. I can’t stress that enough. You know how many low-fos believe that? They actually believe people will DIE, and Democrats play off that fear. Meanwhile, THEY’RE the ones to blame for the looming shutdown. They’re willing to shutdown the government for Dreamers.
They’re so annoying.
What SHOULD be at the top of the news cycle? The FISA memo that details “abuse” of government surveillance. It’s a big deal. Rep. Jim Jordan actually said, βIt is so alarming, the American people have to see this.β
He’s not the only one calling for transparency.
The classified report compiled by House Intelligence is deeply troubling and raises serious questions about the upper echelon of the Obama DOJ and Comey FBI as it relates to the so-called collusion investigation.
— Ron DeSantis (@RepDeSantis) January 18, 2018
While the report is classified as Top Secret, I believe the select committee should, pursuant to House rules, vote to make the report publicly available as soon as possible. This is a matter of national significance and the American people deserve the truth.
— Ron DeSantis (@RepDeSantis) January 18, 2018
The House must immediately make public the memo prepared by the Intelligence Committee regarding the FBI and the Department of Justice…There is no higher priority than the release of this information to preserve our democracy.https://t.co/CgC0qEqlSp
— Rep. Matt Gaetz (@RepMattGaetz) January 18, 2018
I viewed the classified report from House Intel relating to the FBI, FISA abuses, the infamous Russian dossier, and so-called "Russian collusion." What I saw is absolutely shocking.
This report needs to be released–now. Americans deserve the truth. #ReleaseTheMemo pic.twitter.com/oP2UNujKQL

Just read the classified doc @HPSCI re FISA abuse. I'm calling for its immediate public release w/relevant sourced material. The public must have access ASAP! #Transparency
— Lee Zeldin (@RepLeeZeldin) January 18, 2018
I have read the memo. The sickening reality has set in. I no longer hold out hope there is an innocent explanation for the information the public has seen. I have long said it is worse than Watergate. It was #neverTrump & #alwaysHillary. #releasethememo

As I told you earlier, #ReleaseTheDocument and #ReleaseTheMemo were trending Thursday night. It boggles my mind that they’re not STILL trending, because people ARE talking about it. It’s a HUGE deal. Twitter is clearly trying to cover it up. Can you blame Twitter though? We can’t have all these Russian bots promoting #FakeNews!
Oh yeah. Alyssa Milano thinks we’re all Russian bots.
Duh. Twitter accounts linked to Russian influence operations have begun promoting the hashtag #ReleaseTheMemo https://t.co/MAkSCPGPO7
— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) January 19, 2018
The Business Insider article states:
#ReleaseTheMemo is the top-trending hashtag among Twitter accounts linked to Russian influence operations, according to Hamilton 68, a website launched last year that says it tracks Russian propaganda in near-real time.
The frequency with which the accounts have been promoting the hashtag has spiked by 233,000% over the past 48 hours, according to the site. The accounts’ references to the “memo,” meanwhile, have increased by 68,000%.
Are you kidding me? Are Russian bots also responsible for the damning information found in the memo too? Give me a break.
Hamilton 68 has been working to expose trolls β as well as automated bots and human accounts β whose main use for Twitter appears to be an amplification of pro-Russia themes. The site’s mission is to monitor and illustrate the themes that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants Americans to be thinking and talking about, including “the failure of democratic governance in the United States.”
No. Vlad doesn’t give a rat’s about the memo. The AMERICAN PEOPLE care. We want to know the truth. We deserve to know the truth.
I want it released. Let's get a look at it and see what it says!
— KimPossible006 (@KimPossible006) January 19, 2018
Lol OK whatever Russian bot.
Not a bot! Is it so hard to conceive that the American public wants to know if their government is corrupt?
We have been tweeting this non stop for 24 hours as a united campaign! What is the harm in releasing it??— Law of One (@earthascends) January 19, 2018
I'm not Russian. #ReleaseTheMemo
— Mark Tilford (@marktilfordbass) January 19, 2018
Fine. But you’re probably still a bot.
<– 100% American here and promoting #ReleaseTheMemo any chance I get! #Obamagate

I'm in California, perhaps we can meet and discuss this subject over lunch. I am not a Russian Bot or influenced. #ReleaseTheMemo

Sorry. Alyssa doesn’t dine with LYING BOTS. Nice try!
I'm not a Russian bot. I use my real name, face, life. We are REAL PEOPLE, and I think you know that. STOP using propaganda to deny our voice. Don't agree? Say so. Denying our humanity? Unacceptable. I won't be silenced anymore. –> https://t.co/GO2ctkGHD4

You're not very bright, keep pushing the whole Russia this, Russia bot lefty narrative, your whole world is going to come crashing down and I cannot WAIT to watch your meltdown.
— Jess (@Gl0riousDestiny) January 19, 2018
I am also looking forward to it.
Face it Alyssa. We’re not Russian bots. We’re Actual Human Americans who want transparency, and you should too.
