Sen. Dick Durbin Asks DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen If President Trump Said ‘Sh*thole.’ For Real

Democratic Sen. Dick– or as I like to call him now, Dicky– Durbin is outraged that Trump supposedly called crappy countries “sh*tholes.”

“In the course of his comments, (Trump) said things which were hate-filled, vile and racist,” Durbin said. “I use those words advisedly. I understand how powerful they are.”

“I cannot believe that in the history of the White House and of that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday. You’ve seen the comments in the press. I have not read one of them that’s inaccurate,” he added.

Here’s the thing. Durbin is notorious for lying about conversations that took place during private meetings. As the Daily Wire points out:

In 2013, Politico reported:

“In a ‘negotiation’ meeting with the president, one GOP House Leader told [President Barack Obama]: ‘I cannot even stand to look at you,’” Durbin wrote in a post on his Facebook page over the weekend.

However, both the White House and the House speaker’s office denied Durbin’s account of events.

Asked about the post in the White House daily briefing, press secretary Jay Carney said he checked with a participant of the meeting in question.

“I looked into this and spoke with somebody who was in that meeting and it did not happen,” Carney said.

Politico added that Durbin’s office “had no comment on the post and offered no further details.”

“Sen. Durbin’s accusation is a serious one, and it appears to have been invented out of thin air,” said Brendan Buck, spokesman for then-House Speaker John Boehner. “The senator should disclose who told him this account of events, retract his reckless allegation immediately, and apologize.”

That’s just one example.

Trump said Durbin misrepresented what was said at the private meeting.

But Durbin isn’t backing down. Nope. Trump said VILE and RACIST things, and he must be held accountable at once!

BTW– I just heard this on Rush Limbaugh’s show. Apparently, Trump asked why we can’t have more people from Norway and ASIA. A-S-I-A. Asia. Why are they leaving that part out? Easy. If they push the narrative that Trump only wants immigrants from Norway, it proves that Trump only wants people from white countries coming here. Therefore, Trump is a WHITE SUPREMACIST!

Except…he’s not.

As I see it, the worst case scenario is…Trump called crappy countries sh*tholes. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I don’t care. It’s not racist. IT’S NOT RACIST FEINSTEIN.

Naturally, Dick Durbin is focused on a word and language rather than policy at this hearing, wasting Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s time.
