Four law enforcement officers were shot and wounded while responding to a domestic call in South Carolina overnight.
Police were called to a home on Farrier Lane around 10:10pm Monday night, for a report of a domestic violence incident.
Suspect Christian Thomas McCall, 47, was reportedly assaulting a female, but by the time officers arrived on the scene, he had fled on foot.
At 1:07am, shots rang out and a York police officer was found injured. He was driven to the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill in another officer’s car.
So this guy was shooting as he fled from the police… the ultimate POS. What did this scumbag think would happen? He’d get away and everyone would just forget about his little “indiscretion”?
State Law Enforcement Division spokesman Thom Berry said as officers searched some woods around 3:30am, three York County Sheriff’s deputies were hit by a barrage of gunfire. He said the suspect also was wounded and was taken to a hospital.
They searched for him in the woods after their partner had already been shot. THIS is exactly why I’m thankful for our police officers. They put themselves on the line to keep our communities safe.
Two of the deputies were airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, while the third was taken by ambulance.
Sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris told a news conference that he did not know the officers’ or the suspect’s conditions early Tuesday.
‘We could really use your prayers and we could really use your thoughts right now for those officers,’ Faris said.
They will be in our prayers!
