‘Morning Joe’ Wants You To See The Difference Between Trump And Oprah

Oprah delivered a speech at the Golden Globes, and the left’s legs can’t stop tingling. They were moved. To the casual listener, it sounded inspirational, sure. But in reality, she did nothing more than play to everyone’s emotions. I’ve never understood the left’s tendency to become so captivated by a person who can speechify something fierce. They did the same thing with Obama. After he gave a speech in what– ’06?– they were all, “OMG MAKE THIS MAN POTUS!”

Having the ability to deliver an inspirational speech that makes everyone feel good is a great skill to have, sure. However, it is NOT a key indicator of intelligence or leadership. And by the way– OF COURSE these actors and actresses can deliver great speeches. That’s what they do for a living. They pretend to be different people. They take on different personas. They fake it.

I don’t think we’re screwed if Oprah runs. I know there are a lot of low-fos out there who have basically deified her (right up with Beyonce– they both have cult followings), but wait until she has to talk about policy. I agree with Daisy here. When she has to start talking policy, people in the middle will turn on her. After all, her vision is Obama’s vision. That’s the vision America rejected in 2016.

“Morning Joe” decided to selectively edit a Trump speech and compare it to bits and pieces of Oprah’s. It’s supposed to show how much BETTER and more COMPASSIONATE Oprah is. She’s so much better than Trump.

“Hope.” “Brighter morning.” “Domestic workers.” “A new day is on the horizon.” Those are all feel-good words that mean absolutely nothing. People saw right through it in 2016. I don’t think this is going to work. All it does is get the “resistance” riled up.

Wow. Quite a difference in speeches. She sounds like a leader should sound. He sound like a ten year old. He even had to tell the crowd to stand to make it look like an ovation. Again, wow.

Trump’s getting stuff done. The results speak for themselves.

At the end of the day, I’d rather have President Trump tell me the truth in an inarticulate way than have Oprah lie to me in a way that sounds beautiful.
