According to the NBC article above:
Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney was successfully treated for prostate cancer over the summer, sources confirmed to NBC News.
Romney was treated surgically by Dr. Thomas Ahlering at UC Irvine in California, according to sources.
The former Republican presidential candidate has expressed interest in running for Senate in Utah.
Romney now lives in Utah, where he’s fondly regarded as the man who helped turn around Salt Lake City’s scandal-plagued 2002 Winter Olympics. During the last presidential campaign, Romney called then-candidate Trump “a fraud” who had “neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president.”
Wow… I really had no idea.
No one did.
I’ve had my political differences with Romney… but of course I’m praying for him. Cancer is horrific, and I’s so glad to hear he’s doing well.
I also have to give him credit for doing this privately and not making a huge spectacle of it. Of course, everyone deals with things differently, but there’s something to be said about making it public after the fact, you know?
It’s different with current officials… they probably owe it to their constituents to keep them updated… but that’s not the case for him.
.@MittRomney aide offers more details:
“Last year, Governor Mitt Romney was diagnosed with slow-growing prostate cancer. The cancer was removed surgically and found not to have spread beyond the prostate”

I’m glad to see the majority of people talking about it have been understanding and HUMAN. Though of course, there’s still the few…
Good luck to him. Regardless of political standing, I never want to see anyone suffer through cancer 😢

They do matter though Politics make it so those who have the $ get the best of care and those of us who don’t, don’t. If we had a good Universal plan- we would all have a better shot at good healthcare.

So now we see what Trump had on Romney…

When Trump is impeached, it will be described as such:
“The cancer was removed surgically and found not to have spread beyond the prostate”

Yeah, the devil’s trade looks like McCain’s life for Romney’s.

…that’s horrific. It’s sad that people carry this kind of hatred with them.
