Fun fact about myself. The first thing I do when I wake up? Turn on the radio. My local Jacksonville station– WOKV– is my go-to. I listen to it even when I’m up north for months at a time. I enjoy the afternoon lineup, and Jamie Dupree’s reports are always on point.
When I tuned in yesterday, I heard someone say that President Trump had nothing official on his schedule. Many thought this was weird, despite it being a holiday weekend. This was a YUUUUGE week, and everyone’s waiting for some sort of end of the year press conference.
At some point during the day, Trump left the White House to board Marine One. MSM didn’t really know what he was up to, because it wasn’t publicized.
As it turns out, he was on his way to wish wounded warriors at Walter Reed Hospital a Merry Christmas.

One of the most powerful moments of my life watching @POTUS give the Purple Heart to this American Hero. Amazed by the strength and resilience of the men and women in our Armed Forces. pic.twitter.com/AtoaboF4DE

My heart just grew four sizes. I get chills just looking at that photo.

Say what you want, but there’s no doubt that President Trump loves and respects our men and women in uniform.
Well done, Mr. President!
