December 16, 2017Sen. Marco Rubio made me a little nervous, but it looks like we’re in the clear. Unless something goes terribly, terribly wrong, the GOP tax bill is going to make its way to President Trump’s desk. Merry Christmas to youuuuuuuuu!
This will be the Trump administration’s first major legislative victory. I’m not going to say it’s the first victory, because getting Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court is one of the greatest things to happen this year.
The final version is a hybrid of the House and Senate version of the bill. Basically, we’re looking at seven tax brackets which range from 10% to 37%. In addition, it reduces the corporate rate to 21% and gets rid of Obamacare’s individual mandate (YES).

Yeah, well I think socialism is a moral and economic obscenity.
This isn’t a gift specifically for the rich. We WANT job creators to prosper. It helps everyone!
Is this the perfect tax bill? No. In my dream world, we’d have the Fair Tax or a flat tax, but at this point, at least we have something to work with. This economy is going to get another boost, and the best part? Since Democrats hate this tax bill so much and will vote NO, they won’t be able to take credit for the flourishing economy.
