So, if you’re a regular listener of our show, you probably know that I’ve been sort of fascinated with what appears to be kind of an explosion of sex robot stories. Just when I think we’ve learned everything there is to know about them, Drudge will have a link to YET ANOTHER sex robot story, and we’ll end up having to talk about them on the air, or we’ll have to make a video about them.
Like this one.
And now, you guys, now it’s looking like robots are going to start being doctors.
According to that sourcelink, a robot doctor has recently aced its medical exams.
Naturally, it’s a robot from China, and it has a name – Xiao Yi. Xiao scored 465/600 on the China National Medical Licensing Exam. That’s apparently 96 points above the acceptance grade. And he was able to demonstrate that he knew how to treat a condition based on the symptoms provided. Like – he wasn’t just searching through a database – he was using a “reasoning process based on knowledge and probability models.”
We’re still a ways off from having robot doctors, but we’re certainly heading in that direction. For now, Xiao will be used as an aide to Actual Doctors, because they can help sort through symptoms and possible diagnoses.
So? Are you up for being treated by a robot doc?
