Everything you need to know about Hollywood, right here.
As you know, Hollywood is crawling with pervy creeps. It’s been this way for quite some time, but we’re only talking about it now because of Harvey Weinstein. I’ll never understand the actresses who condemn him but continue to work with disgusting weirdos like Woody Allen. How do they justify that?
Allen’s a known pervert, but starlets continue to work with him. Are they not essentially signing off on his bad behavior?
How does Kate Winslet justify that?
Easy! Like this!
“Here’s the catalyst,” she told NYT. “(I) probably wasn’t going to get another go-around with Woody Allen, so it’s now or never. Plus I knew my parents would be incredibly proud of me working with Woody Allen.”
Aw! Her parents are proud of her for working with a known perv! Adorbs!
NYT asked Winslet if the allegations against Woody Allen gave her any second thoughts, and she was all, “Of course one thinks about it.”
“But as an actor in the film, you just have to step away and say, I don’t know anything really… having thought it all through, you put it to one side and just work with the person. Woody Allen is an incredible director,” she said.
So you basically pretend that he’s not a giant perv because morals and convictions are stupid anyway. Got it.
The dude married his adopted daughter. Need I say more? And remember– his initial reaction to the Weinstein scandal was ridiculous. He said he didn’t want a “witch hunt atmosphere.” Pervs gotta stick together, am I right?
All that being said, I feel like you should know this.
Allen’s upcoming film has “awkward scenes involving an older man having sex with young starlets.”
That kind of says it all, doesn’t it?
We’re told that a plotline in the untitled Allen flick, which is currently filming in New York, centers around a middle-aged man who is sleeping with a much younger woman, among other actresses, and, according to the script, “makes a fool of himself over every ambitious starlet and model.”
Holy mother of tone-deaf.
In scenes just filmed, a character played by Rebecca Hall accuses 44-year-old actor Jude Law’s character of having sex with a 15-year-old “concubine.” In the scene, the so-called concubine — played by Elle Fanning (19 in real life) — acknowledges her relationship with Law’s much-older character, but then protests that she is 21 years old. After a discussion about his infidelity, Fanning’s character then asks Law, “Were all these women for pleasure, or were you researching a project?”
The film also stars Selena Gomez, Liev Schreiber, Suki Waterhouse and Kelly Rohrbach.
Shame on them. None of them have ANY ROOM TO TALK about pervy Harvey Weinstein anymore. I’m not kidding around. I don’t want to hear it. Not a peep. They’re willingly perpetuating that culture. They’re making money off it.
