I was pretty excited about The Scaramucci Post. I thought it was going to be a legit little news organization or something. And…maybe one day it will be. I have no idea. So far, social media administrators (identified as Lance Laifer and the “SP Social Team” weigh in on Twitter trends and make polls about who the account should follow next.
The Scaramucci Post follows us, btw. We were featured in a poll.
Who should be ~151st follow of @ScaramucciPost? @chicksonright @juliemason @JaredRizzi @edkrayewski

So polls. SP does those a lot. But it definitely missed the mark on this one…
They should’ve known people would freak out…

Wait this is real?
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) October 17, 2017
But is it related to Mooch? Is he responsible for the content?
— Bethany S. Mandel (@bethanyshondark) October 17, 2017
That’s the thing. No. The Mooch is not directly responsible. An apology has been issued.
This poll was put up by @lancelaifer without consulting @Scaramucci who is traveling in London.
The poll has been taken down. pic.twitter.com/SKaaPZAPow— ScaramucciPost (@ScaramucciPost) October 17, 2017
The intent of the poll was to highlight ignorance of the basic facts of the Holocaust. I take full responsibility for it.
— ScaramucciPost (@ScaramucciPost) October 17, 2017
This is @lancelaifer and I apologize if anyone was offended by the Holocaust poll.

That’s the latest Scaramucci Post-related drama.
I’m still not sure why it exists.
