Colin Kaepernick is still jobless. No one in the NFL wants him. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. It’s not like he’s a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. He’s not a legend. He had a really, really, really crappy season. Add in the kneeling and the fact that he wore stupid “cops as pigs socks,” and you can see why no one wants him. I fail to see how he’s an asset to any team. He’s a walking PR nightmare. I don’t blame teams for looking the other way.
Well, I guess that’s hurting Kaepernick’s precious feeeeeeeeeeeeelings. He wants a job. Not bad enough to – you know– apologize for being an ungrateful punk or anything like that. Nope. He expects everyone to accept him as is. NFL teams should suck it up and SIGN HIM.
They’re not. So now, Plan B. Kaepernick has filed grievance against the NFL, alleging collusion. He actually believes he has a case, which is positively hilarious.
Via NFL columnist Mike Freeman:
I am told that @Kaepernick7 has filed a grievance under the CBA for collusion against the owners. If accurate, this is huge.

Kaepernick has hired attorney Mark Geragos. Who has represented numerous high profile clients.

HE BROUGHT ALL OF THIS UPON HIMSELF. But I repeat myself.
This would be a good time to remind you all that NO ONE forced Kaepernick out. He opted out of his contract on his own accord.
According to Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has filed a grievance against the owners for collusion under the latest collective bargaining agreement.
Per Freeman, Kaepernick has hired attorney Mark Geragos to help him in the legal situation.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports also reported the quarterback’s plan to file a grievance.
Kaepernick opted out of his contract at the conclusion of last season with the expectation he would find a new landing spot but has not gotten a new deal and has received surprisingly little interest compared to how well he played last season. He finished the year with 16 touchdowns and only four interceptions in 12 games.
Wowowowowow. It’s a wonder people aren’t DYING to hire him!
Mark Geragos, one of Kaepernick’s attorneys, said in a statement posted on Twitter on Sunday that he filed the grievance “only after pursuing every possible avenue with all NFL teams and their executives.”
“If the NFL (as well as all professional sports leagues) is to remain a meritocracy, then principled and peaceful political protest — which the owners themselves made great theater imitating weeks ago — should not be punished,” Geragos said in the statement, “and athletes should not be denied employment based on partisan political provocation by the executive branch of our government. Such a precedent threatens all patriotic Americans and harkens back to our darkest days as a nation.”

Without anything written or recorded, it’s impossible to prove the owners colluded. It’s more of a wink and a nod agreement. https://t.co/Ylrfgtsj4C

No, it isn’t at all, bud. I can file a grievance for collusion against the owners too. Same chance of success. https://t.co/2SAu5jxLhV

Yep… he can sue all he wants but that doesn’t mean anyone’s gonna hire him… I’m guessing NFL owners need players that are actually good
— Kingston (@kstun) October 15, 2017
He has no evidence. It’s the only way to stay relevant/try and force the hand of the NFL/NFLPA to get him his job back.

Unless he has physical proof, literally all the 32 teams have to say is that they liked their guys better. End of story.

You can’t make an employer hire you. Especially when you’re a career QB w/a completion % under 60% & average 12 TDs a year over your career.

Once again, the ungrateful punk refuses to take responsibility for his actions. He’ll never learn.
