Well, suck it up with me. It’s not going away anytime soon.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Weinstein’s wife, Georgina Chapman, is leaving him.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” Chapman said in a statement to People Magazine.
Interestingly enough, Weinstein thinks he has a fighting chance that they can reconcile.
Fat chance.
“I am profoundly devastated. I have lost my wife and kids, whom I love more than anything else,” he said, according to Page Six.
“I fully support her decision. I didn’t stand in Georgina’s way when we discussed a separation, I encouraged her to do what was in her heart,” he continued. “I know she has to do what is best for the children, for herself and her business, she employs 130 people. I don’t want her or my children to be hurt any more than they already have. I truly love Georgina, and I hope one day we can reconcile, although right now I don’t know if that could possibly happen.”
He shouldn’t get his hopes up. That’s all I’m saying.
Meanwhile, Georgina is leaning on Huma Abedin (because she knows a thing or two about having a pervy husband) and returning as a judge on Project Runway All Stars.
“Production is already completed on the next season of Project Runway All Stars with Georgina,” a rep for the reality Lifetime series confirmed to PEOPLE Thursday. “We have yet to determine an airdate.”
The 41-year-old Marchesa designer has appeared as a judge on the show — which is co-produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and estranged husband Harvey Weinstein‘s former studio, The Weinstein Company — since it premiered in 2012.
Harvey shouldn’t get his hopes up.
I still can’t figure out how a woman like Georgina ended up marrying a guy like Harvey in the first place. Gross.
