President Trump To Nominate Two Conservatives To The Fifth Circuit Court Of Appeals

Even if we’re not winning legislatively, we’re winning in the courts!

According to this:

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has nominated two Texans for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the White House has confirmed.

 

They include Texas Supreme Court Justice Don Willett, a colorful conservative previously floated as a contender for the U.S. Supreme Court and former Texas Solicitor General James Ho, a Dallas attorney.

 

Trump is also nominating Kyle Duncan, a private attorney with Texas ties who previously represented Hobby Lobby during its legal challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate; and Kurt Engelhardt, chief judge of the Eastern District of Louisiana, for the Fifth Circuit.

 

Both Texas Sens. John Cornyn and Cruz recommended Willett and Ho for the court following a review by the bipartisan Federal Judicial Evaluation Committee, they said in a statement on Thursday.
