According to that sourcelink, a woman in China gave birth in the middle of the street and didn’t even know she was giving birth.
I’ve never given birth, but I’m pretty sure I won’t have a problem realizing that I am, in fact, delivering a baby when that moment comes.
Apparently, the pregnant woman was casually riding around on a scooter in the Zhejiang Province, and someone actually had to tell her that a baby was coming out of her.
Can you imagine how that conversation went?
Random person: Uh, hey lady. There’s a human coming out of you. FYI.”
Pregnant lady: “Huh?” *looks down* “Oh! I didn’t even realize! LOL!”
The incident occurred in the city of Xiaoshan, reported Modern Express, a newspaper in eastern China.
A viral video has apparently captured the moment of the childbirth, which was said to take place on September 18.
In the video, the female motorcyclist can be seen standing during the whole process while holding her blue scooter.
Passersby can be seen helping catch and wrap the baby as it comes out between the woman’s legs.
She stood up the whole time! Look at this!
Just casually having a baby on a sidewalk. No biggie.
According to Modern Express, the labour was so fast the woman apparently didn’t realise her child had been born.
The newspaper claimed a man, who was squatting behind the woman’s scooter, had to remind the woman ‘the child is coming out’ as he witnessed the situation.
The baby and mom are in “stable” condition. So…there you have it. Apparently, it’s possibly to be in the middle of giving birth and not even realize it.
China, man. I’m tellin’ ya.
