Special Counsel Robert Mueller Is Shifting The Focus Of His Investigation

I want nothing more than for Robert Mueller to wrap up this ridiculous investigation already. This Russia stuff is getting old. (Although have you noticed? MSM has been laying off lately. I think some of it has to do with the fact that they’ve been consumed by natural disaster related coverage.)

It appears Mueller is shifting gears and focusing on President Trump’s specific actions in the White House. According to reports, Mueller sent a letter to the White House, requesting information on the firings of James Comey, as well as Michael Flynn.

WASHINGTON — Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, has asked the White House for documents about some of President Trump’s most scrutinized actions since taking office, including the firing of his national security adviser and F.B.I. director, according to White House officials.

 

Mr. Mueller is also interested in an Oval Office meeting Mr. Trump had with Russian officials in which he said the dismissal of the F.B.I. director had relieved “great pressure” on him.

The document requests provide the most details to date about the breadth of Mr. Mueller’s investigation, and show that several aspects of his inquiry are focused squarely on Mr. Trump’s behavior in the White House.

 

In recent weeks, Mr. Mueller’s office sent a document to the White House that detailed 13 areas in which investigators are seeking information. Since then, administration lawyers have been scouring White House emails and asking officials whether they have other documents or notes that may pertain to Mr. Mueller’s requests.

I suppose that means things are progressing, right?

Many people say the investigation is spinning out of control.

Look. I want this investigation to be over, but think about it this way: If Mueller continues to dig and continues to come up short, what are the Democrats going to say? What’ll happen when he finds nothing and doesn’t ultimately indictTrump?

Dems are worshipping Mueller right now but I can promise you if he doesn’t seek to indict Trump they’ll turn on him in a second.
