Hurricane Irma is quickly approaching Florida, and the track is beginning to shift more to the west.
Here’s NHC’s current prediction:
It sucks. I heard a lot of people in the Miami area evacuated to Orlando, but NOW it looks like Irma could pass right over Orlando too. Yiiiiiiikes.
All that being said, Disney World is shutting down for two days.
I know it sounds like a no-brainer, but this is pretty significant. Disney World has only shut down a handful of times in its history. And yes, all past closures were due to hurricanes.
- September 15, 1999 – Hurricane Floyd
- September 4-5, 2004 – Hurricane Frances
- September 26, 2004 – Hurricane Jeanne
- October 7, 2016 – Hurricane Matthew
Crazy, right?
Disney World just announced it will be closing because of Irma, only 5th time in its 46-year history.https://t.co/ixZittUFCG

Dear Hurricane Irma,
We offer this as a sacrifice. You can have it, just don't destroy anything else.

I second this. Stay away from Disney, Irma. Please take the I-4 eye sore instead.
All jokes aside, stay safe Florida peeps!
