North Korea launched another missile Monday afternoon. According to the Pentagon, the missile flew over Japan– the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, to be exact.
It looks like we’re back where we started. President Trump said, once again, that “all options are on the table.”
“The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior,” Trump said in a statement.
“Threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world,” he added. “ All options are on the table.”
The good news? President Trump isn’t the only one talking tough. South Korea actually held a live-fire drill which simulated “destroying the enemy’s leadership.” The drill was designed “to showcase a strong punishment capability against the North”. Even China says relations with North Korea is reaching a “tipping point.” CHINA.
Trump also spoke to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and both leaders agree that the international community needs to place further pressure on North Korea.
I don’ know if increased “pressure” will do the trick. Kim Jong-un is insane. I fear he may only respond to ACTUAL force.
