Natural disasters can bring out both the best and the worst in people.
We’ve reported unfortunate stories of looting, and Joel Osteen has come under intense scrutiny for not opening up his 16,000 -seat Mega-Church as a shelter (though the reasons why are still up for debate).
Personally, I’d rather tell you about the good folks…like the Cajun Navy, the 15-year old boys saving lives, and THIS guy.
This guy is freaking awesome.

THIS is what a man with a good heart looks like.
Not only is this man sheltering evacuees, he’s feeding them. At multiple locations…
Our GF N FWRY & GF Grand PKWY stores are open for those in need. If you can safely join us, we invite you for shelter and food. God Bless. pic.twitter.com/IHHgjKmjMY

…and he’s deploying his delivery trucks to pick people up.
It doesn’t stop there. Once the waters recede and people start trying to get their lives back in order, Mattress Mack plans to donate mattresses.

He has about 400 people staying at each of two locations, and is allowing people to bring their pets with them.
In the face of it all, he remains humble. “You are blessing these people!” He responds… “Well, they’re blessing us.”
Can your heart even take it?
…and he’s done this all before.
Kudos to Gallery Furniture in Houston – opened their showrooms to victims of flooding. Did so in Katrina. BZ. https://t.co/chHazgjlbs
