What happened in Charlottesville is terrible. We’ve condemned the violence from BOTH SIDES over and over and over. White supremacists suck. Antifa thugs suck. THEY BOTH SUCK. I can’t believe saying that is still such a point of contention.
My heart goes out to those who were wounded in Charlottesville. People across both sides of the aisle can agree that the loser who plowed his car into a group of protesters is a piece of murderous scum. Conservatives AND liberals agree on that.
All that being said, some have launched campaigns to raise money for the victims of the Charlottesville violence. Heck, even beauty brands are getting involved. One in particular decided to sell an exclusive lipstick, and proceeds go right to the victims of Charlottesville. Awesome, right? I’m all about that. After all, I’m a lipstick girl!
Just one problem. This isn’t exactly a lipstick with a uniting message. It’s called “F*ck Trump” lipstick. Way to go, Lipslut.

“Lipslut is already a political and philanthropic brand, so we already have a big platform for this, and I just thought, ‘How could we not donate in the face of this tragedy?'” Katie Sones, one member of the company’s three-man (or woman, as it were) team, told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.
Lipslut launched shortly after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, selling one shade of matte pink liquid lipstick called “F*ck Trump” for $20. When customers check out, they can cast their vote for one of nine charities (including Planned Parenthood, She Should Run, the ACLU and the National Organization for Women) and at the end of the initial F*ck Trump campaign, which will conclude in a few months, 50 percent of all sales will be donated to whichever charity has received the most votes. (Excluding the money raised for Charlottesville, the brand has raised $20,000 from the lipsticks since the launch.)
I can proudly say I don’t own any lipstick from Lipslut and never will. Congrats for raising money for the victims of the violence, but shame on Lipslut for tying the violence directly to POTUS. I don’t care what you say. That’s irresponsible.
The option to donate to Charlottesville will be open through the end of August. In the meantime, the Lipslut team is working on coming up with ideas for new campaigns and products (lip glosses appear to be on the horizon), that adhere to their company’s tagline, “50 percent towards charity, 100 percent against tyranny and, of course, 100 percent cruelty free.” And yes, the names of the forthcoming products will be just as provocative as “Lipslut” and “F*ck Trump.”
“We like to spark a conversation,” said Sones.
Tyranny doesn’t mean what she thinks it means.

Like I said. Good on Lipslut for raising money for the victims of violence, but shame on them for connecting the violence to President Trump. He didn’t cause this, and he’s not a freaking tyrant.
