Things got really heated during the White House press briefing Wednesday. CNN’s Jim Acosta temporarily forgot that he’s an objective journalist and not an elected lawmaker debating legislation and decided to lecture Stephen Miller on the Trump administration’s plans for legal immigration form.
The revised RAISE Act essentially reforms the legal immigration system by putting English speaking skilled workers above non-English speaking unskilled workers.
Jim Acosta’s interpretation: That would mean we’d only accept immigrants from Great Britain and Australia because immigrants from other countries are incapable of learning or speaking English. RAAAAACIST!
Stephen Miller took him down.

The behavior exhibited by Acosta wasn’t surprising. We know he’s not impartial. We know he loathes the Trump administration. We know he’s an insufferable lib.
During the exchange, April Ryan came to Acosta’s defense. He also got some much needed support from the totally unbiased Hillary Clinton worshipper, Andrea Mitchell.
Trump aide #Stephen Miller lecturing Cuban-American Jim Acosta of CNN on green card policy which his family lived 1st hand #Rude

#Rude? She thinks Stephen Miller was rude? Acosta’s the one who decided to challenge him to an informal debate on policy and accused the administration of pushing a racist policy!
…it was @Acosta who was rude. #ShutUp

That's so stupidly uninformed that I can't stop laughing😂. He thinks only Brits & Aussies speak English😂😂😂
— tamara ward (@tamaradward) August 2, 2017
He got toasted, and deservedly so. The Statue of Liberty doesn't dictate immigration laws.

Hilarious. Acosta asked Miller a question and then rudely kept interrupting when Miller tried to answer. Maybe you need to watch it again.
— Beachcomber☀️ (@BeachAddict80) August 2, 2017
Did you watch the same conference? Acosta was way off base and showed his ignorance. Please at least try to remain a sliver of impartiality
— John (@Johnfpc) August 2, 2017
@Acosta is rude! He is an embarrassment to the Cuban community and could help himself if he actually sought to get an answer & not a clip
— Melanie H (@M_hilco) August 2, 2017
Yes, rude is caring about American workers. Acosta should be barred until he can ask a question and not lecture
— Ed Bernas (@hazmat50213) August 2, 2017
Andrea, Jim got served a nice plate of get your facts right and listen to the answer to the question you asked and aren't willing to accept
— Belle (@MistyPassions) August 2, 2017
