Not quite two months have passed since a maniac opened fire on Republican lawmakers at a congressional baseball practice. Thankfully, Rep. Scalise has been discharged from the hospital and is undergoing intensive inpatient rehabilitation.
Bloomberg has a new story on the case, and it’s raising a bunch of questions. Apparently, Capitol Police launched an internal investigation to determine why their original team was dispatched to the wrong location that day.

Yeah– I didn’t know they didn’t go to the correct location the first time either. It wasn’t just any wrong location. Believe it or not, they were dispatched to Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s home.
Instead of responding directly to the Virginia field where House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and several others were shot, members of the Capitol Police Containment and Emergency Response Team were signaled instead to go to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s house in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, several miles away, according to the two people, who asked for anonymity to speak about the sensitive incident.
How does a mix up like that even happen????
Capitol Police spokesman Eva Malecki still has no comment.
“The Alexandria incident continues to be an ongoing investigation. We do not comment on ongoing investigations,” she said.
Thankfully, two police officers were already on the scene during the time of the incident and the mix up didn’t cost any lives.
One of the people familiar with the incident said police are saying the unit’s delayed reaction had no operational impact. Local Alexandria police officers responded quickly to the shooting site.
Investigators are still reviewing how and why the initial misdirection occurred. One possibility being reviewed is a transponder mix-up, or a transponder code being used for the wrong congressional leader, said the people familiar with the events.
Some people think this is super suspicious, while others attribute it to a simple human mistake.
Suspicious! https://t.co/PS6EL9Ob7I

Why is there always some shady thing that’s attached to Democrats? Nothing ever unfolds normally. There’s always a “coincidence.” Every time

That is rather interesting.

It’s probably just a human error, but it’s still weird as all get out.
