Women In Congress Gather To Show Off Their Right To BARE Arms

As you’ve probably heard, feminists recently decided to freak out over the decades-old Speaker’s Lobby dress code, even though, as I just indicated, it’s been around for quite some time. Sure, a little modernization couldn’t hurt. I know women want to maintain a level of professionalism, but there are some very classy sleeveless dresses out there, so I don’t have a problem with updating the dress code.

“Decorum is important, especially for this institution. And a dress code in the chamber, in the (Speakers’) Lobby, makes sense,” House Speaker Paul Ryan said. “But we also don’t need to bar otherwise accepted contemporary business attire. So look for a change on that soon.”

Good deal. Remember, men have to wear suits and ties, so it’s not unreasonable for women to also have a dress code to abide by. Again, I have no problem modernizing it, but I can’t help but wonder why liberal feminists didn’t make a big deal out of this when Nancy Pelosi was in charge.

Why did you have to wait for a man to make these changes, huh? And it poses another question– one Mock and Daisy asked on air Friday: Does this make Ryan a feminist icon? You know, since he’s updating the dress code for the benefit of women?

Just wondering. Anyway, that’s that, right? We can stop talking about sleeveless dresses now, right? Surely, female lawmakers have more important things to do. LOL JUST KIDDING.

On Friday, Rep. Jackie Speier led her female colleagues in a sleeveless protest for the right to BARE arms.

Like I said before, I don’t have a problem with sleeveless attire, but it’s dishonest to say that this is some patriarchal thing Ryan put in place. It’s been around for years, and Pelosi never bothered to do anything about it. Why the sudden need to change it? Why now? The timing is interesting, that’s all I’m saying.

And of course, the big question here: Why are female lawmakers wasting their time on this when we have ACTUAL BILLS THAT NEED TO BE DEBATED ON AND PASSED?

One last observation: Debbie McFrizz has some serious cankles.
