The meeting is in the books. It’s done, and it lasted waaaaaay longer than everyone expected. It was supposed to be a 30 minute meeting, but it lasted over two hours.
According to reports, Trump began the meeting with Putin by bringing up Russian interference in the 2016 election. The #FakeNews outlet CNN should be very pleased by that.

The leaders had a “robust and lengthy” discussion on election interference, according to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. Of course, Putin denied it. Reports say Trump took Putin at his word.

The two also discussed Syria and apparently reached a cease-fire agreement in southwest Syria.
As the meeting was wrapping up, The Associated Press reported the U.S. and Russia reached an agreement for a cease-fire in southwest Syria, to take effect July 9. According to the AP, a separate deal to create “de-escalation zones” was brokered — Tillerson seemed to confirm such an agreement during his briefing.

There is absolutely no way to ascertain what happened in that meeting between Trump, Putin, and their deputies. Unless the translators talk.
