July 7, 2017French President Emmanuel Macron isn’t exactly on the same page as President Trump. He obviously had an issue with Trump pulling the United States out of the Paris Agreement and responded by inviting worried Americans and climate change scientists to move to France.
“The planet needs your innovative skills,” Macron said. “So, are you IN to change (literally!) our daily lives and make our planet great again?”

Yeeeeeeaaaaeah. Not on the same page there.
Both Macron and Trump are at the G20, and all the leaders gathered for a “family photo.” The hosting nation’s leader goes in the middle, and everyone else piles in based on seniority. Leaders who have been serving longer appear in the middle, while the less experienced leaders go to the outside. Obviously, Trump and Macron are newbies and ended up on the edge. But here’s the thing: I *think* Macron was supposed to be on the opposite side of Trump, because there was a giant gap on one side, where I thought Macron was supposed to stand. But at the last minute, Macron appears to go over next to Trump and at one point– I swear– gazes up at him adoringly.

It’s almost adorable. I want to give Macron a cookie. I mean, look at this. He looks like a little boy asking his dad if he can have a bowl of ice cream even though it’s past his bedtime.
Now look, I don’t know if they instructed Macron to go next to Trump. But my understand was, from the beginning, that they could’ve gone to either side. Again, I could be wrong, but either way, Macron totally looks like a Trump groupie, and it’s cracking me up.
