So much for sticking to the Russia story for ratings, huh CNN?
According to a report from the Daily Caller, CNN has fallen to #13 in overall cable TV rankings.
CNN has fallen to #13 in cable TV rankings, according to weekly numbers posted on Thursday by TV Newser.
Fox News is in first place, with MSNBC falling into second. That’s right. MSNBC is doing better than CNN.
Fox News and MSNBC are listed as first and second, respectively, in the cable rankings, which measured average audience sizes for the period between June 26 and July 2. Fox News drew an audience of around 1.82 million while MSNBC drew an audience of 1.34 million. CNN had only 711,000 viewers on an average day during the measurement period.
Dang. Couldn’t even reach 1 million.
CNN’s tumble all started with the retracted Russia story, which also resulted in three employees resigning. Then a series of Project Veritas videos came out, showing CNN employees essentially admitting that the network is more interested in chasing crappy “nothingburger” stories than reporting the Actual News. Then President Trump tweeted that goofy WWE video, showing him “body-slamming” CNN, and CNN retaliated by tracking down the supposed creator of the “super offensive” video and basically threatening blackmail. Keep in mind, the recent numbers don’t reflect the whole video/blackmail controversy (the period measured is June 26 to July 2), so the numbers might actually be worse than we think.
LOL, CNN. You suck.
