AWWWW. Are you just so thrilled for him/her? So many exciting things are coming Chelsea’s way! For starters, he/she is the subject of a documentary film! And guess what? He/she might just be featured in Vogue! WWD has the scoop.
The 29-year-old Manning, who spent about seven years in prison for disclosing archives of secret files to WikiLeaks, will be in an upcoming issue of Vogue. It could not be determined which issue, but sources said editor in chief Anna Wintour is asking designers to submit looks for the fashion spread.
A spokeswoman for Vogue would not confirm or deny the news, instead offering: “We do not comment on rumors of future editorial.”
Yep. It’s likely Chelsea freaking Manning will be featured in an upcoming issue of Vogue. I’m not surprised by the decisions made by editors of these glorified wads of toilet paper. It’s hard to top what Rolling Stone did. Remember? It glamorized the Boston bomber by making him look like an edgy rockstar and slapping his photo on the cover.
Almost nothing surprises me anymore.
