Well well well. Isn’t this interesting.
Earlier this week, the New York Times published a story about one of former FBI Director James Comey’s memos. According to the anonymous source who read NYT the memo, President Trump urged Comey to drop the Flynn investigation.
“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” Trump allegedly told Comey, according to the memo. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”
MSM has translated that to, “OMG President Trump tried to pressure Comey into STOPPING AN INVESTIGATION OMG OMG OMG OMG!”
I guess they forgot that Comey testified under oath earlier this month and said he’s never been seriously pressured to stop an investigation for a political reason.
If Trump told Comey to "stop investigating" as Comey memo alleges then why did Comey state this on May 3 under oath? https://t.co/5A1Zq5rpgs pic.twitter.com/rp9V4qb1hq

However, critics say this is irrelevant, because the original question referred to the Attorney General or senior officials at the Justice Department attempting to halt an investigation. But at the end of the day, Comey said it’s a “big deal” for anyone to ask the FBI to stop investigating something for political reasons.
So either 1.) Trump didn’t tell him to stop investigating Flynn or 2.) He did, and Comey didn’t bother to tell anyone, which only makes him look bad.
Your take?
