The good news is that people called this guy out on his crap and he’s gone. The bad news is that this happened at all.
According to this, Zach Ruff was an assistant principal at a public high school in Pennsylvania. He was recently caught on camera shouting at teens with a pro-life display on school property. And not just shouting, but using profanity and insulting their religious beliefs. Oh, and because he’s gay, that was probably supposed to somehow make his verbal abuse all right.
Here’s video of the incident. Like I said, Ruff uses all kinds of foul language. So consider that your warning –

What a pleasant guy. (There is also a longer, unedited video of the incident that you can see here.)
Once the video started circulating, parents and students and others were appalled that a school official would treat kids like this, regardless of the topic at hand. The district looked into it further and Ruff eventually resigned –
At a school board meeting the night before Ruff tendered his resignation, attendees were divided with regard to how the district should further respond, the paper said, adding that some argued Ruff was protecting students while others said he was “unfit” to remain employed.
The district held a disciplinary hearing with Ruff on May 5 during which he indicated he may resign his position, and he was suspended without pay at the conclusion of that hearing. The district’s statement said that “Ruff has acknowledged that the demonstrators had a right to be on a public sidewalk. He acknowledged that his conduct cannot be defended or condoned and he deeply regretted his actions as displayed on the video.”
I can’t say that I feel very sorry for the man. It could very well be that the teens weren’t allowed to put up their display without some kind of prior approval – that kind of thing was never discussed in the news stories about it. But because Ruff flipped out like that, that’s what the angle became.
Yet again, if leftists want to convince people of their point of view, they need to actually debate and argue with rational facts. Not just go off with name-calling and profanity.
You’d think an intelligent and educated guy like Assistant Principal Ruff could figure that out. Guess not.
