Kids are fairly intuitive. I love their curiosity. But you know what I DON’T love? Partisan hacks using a child’s innocence to make a stupid political statement.
Meet California’s Rep. Ted Lieu. I probably don’t need to tell you this, but he’s a Democrat. The other day, his 11 year old asked if President Trump was part Russian, and Lieu wanted you all to be horrified with him.
Our 11 year old just asked me if President Trump was part Russian. That would be really funny if it wasn’t so really scary. https://t.co/mZeHNfhHCc

Dude– what are you telling your kid? And why are you using his/her innocence to make a crappy political statement?
@tedlieu What did you do, brainwash your kid? This never happened.
— Stephen (@HamWrapdInBacon) May 11, 2017
@tedlieu This didn’t happen.
— Eoin Higgins (@EoinHiggins_) May 11, 2017
Literally no one believes him. And it’s hilarious.
@tedlieu Attributing to ur kid, something tht ur thinking of urself, is cowardly. U’re an idiot & its stated in ur bio here i.e. Member of Congress.

@tedlieu My 8 year-old granddaughter laughed her ass off at the idea that an 11 year-old would actually ask a question like that.

My 7 yo quietly sipped his whiskey when I read him this tweet. Then said, “I call bullshit,” with his eyes half closed. https://t.co/Pi5RSPu5Sd

@tedlieu I see the brainwashing starts young in your household.
— Mike Simpson, M.D. (@DrMikeSimpson) May 10, 2017
@tedlieu Parents must set a good example. I’m sorry, in portraying your child’s innocence, you exposed the misinformation you instill in them.
— Edmund Tan (@shootsafe) May 10, 2017
@tedlieu @20committee I’ll take things that never happened for $1,000 Alex.

@tedlieu When you have to conjure up stories involving your children, trust me, you’re losing the argument. Stay on course, Teddy.

@tedlieu Went more like this:
Child: Dad,Dad,Dad…
You: continue to stare at your phone
Child: Dad, Dad, Dad….
You: this gives me an idea!— 🐝 DEB 🐝 (@kickitdotcom) May 10, 2017

@tedlieu @20committee Congratulations on encouraging a complete & disrespectful disregard for our President in an 11 year old boy.
— Strength&Honor (@StrHon2016) May 11, 2017
@tedlieu Curious what your 11 year old thinks about the Muslim ban or the border wall? #Hypocrites
— TheVeteransDaughter (@XPravdaX) May 10, 2017
@tedlieu does your 11yr old also discuss foreign policy over a glass of scotch? Yes, his mind is brainwashed by our #FakeNews
— Forged Forever (@Redman757590) May 10, 2017
@tedlieu My 3 month old just asked me, with a straight face, if you knew it was the Constitution you were swearing an oath to.
— TheMOABinator (@manofmanychins) May 11, 2017
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
@tedlieu my 9 year old just landed his private jet and told me to tell you to tell your son that he shouldnt have hatred for people of other cultures
— IPledgeAllegiance (@muchmoresalt) May 11, 2017
@tedlieu My 2 yr old “Is Ted Lieu trying to over throw a democratically elected president”? Yes, Son he is. This game is fun.
— Sully (@RockerSully) May 10, 2017
@tedlieu So your redbaiting bullshit has affected your children now. Are you proud?
— cdreid (@cdreid1) May 10, 2017
