Congressional Democrats and Republicans have apparently agreed on a budget deal that would fund the government through Oct. 1. The bill itself is over 1,600 pages long and comes in at about $1 trillion. So, it’s easy to see why many fiscally responsible conservative lawmakers aren’t on board with the bill. Not to mention that it doesn’t defund Planned Parenthood or sanctuary cities. Oh. And there’s nothing for the border wall either.
Freedom Caucus member Rep. Jim Jordan explained why so many conservative lawmakers are disgusted by the bill.

Jordan’s right. Why did Republicans vote on a short term continuing resolution if they planned on folding up like lawn chairs and not fighting for the things we put them there to fight for in the first place?
I’m so sick of these spineless Republicans. This goes beyond compromise. This is political pandering. Republican lawmakers seem more concerned with appeasing Democrats than their own constituents. That’s problematic.
