Keith Ellison Wants Trump To Be Impeached For Supposedly ‘Monetizing’ The Presidency. Um… Has This Guy HEARD Of The Clinton Foundation?

This is rich. No pun intended.

According to this, candidate for DNC Chair Keith Ellison wants Donald Trump to be impeached because Trump is somehow profiting off the presidency. And Ellison’s evidence for this is… that Trump hotels have received payments from foreign dignitaries when they’ve stayed there since Trump’s been in office –

The left-wing Ellison, who is one of the top contenders for DNC chair, argued that Trump was in violation of the emoluments clause, a constitutional clause which prohibits presidents from receiving payment from foreign governments. Some Trump opponents have claimed that the Republican is in violation of the federal law because Trump hotels have received payment from foreign dignitaries.

“I think that we need to begin investigations, to not go after Donald Trump, but to protect our Constitution and the presidency of the United States so that nobody can monetize the presidency and profit off of it for their own gain,” said Ellison.

That’s it? That’s all you’ve got? Trump’s businesses that he established before he ran for office AND that he removed himself from once he won the election are still making money? Um… newsflash dude – Trump’s sons, Don, Jr. and Eric, are running the Trump brand right now. Donald Trump himself is too busy being POTUS. Everything there is on the up-and-up.

I’d just like to ask Ellison one thing: What in the WORLD does he think Hillary Clinton would have done with the presidency? I mean, after it turned out she was using the State Department as a way to make money for the Clinton Foundation? Pay-for-Play? Hiring Clinton Foundation donors for jobs at State? Selling influence? Getting donations from Saudi Arabia? Does ANY of this ring a bell?

In all honesty, probably not. Because we’re not allowed to question what the Glorious Royal Clinton Family does. And the Constitution CERTAINLY doesn’t matter when the Democrats are in charge.

But once the Republicans are in power, it’s a freaking Constitutional crisis every other day! Though given how much the Democrats cared about the Constitution when Obama was wiping his feet on it, their sudden newfound concern rings pretty hollow right now.

I will say this: If Ellison does indeed become the DNC Chair, we can look forward to a LOT more insane antics in the vein of Debbie McFrizz and Donna Brazile. The DNC circus certainly hasn’t left town yet.
