Y’all. Mock has been in the hospital for the past few days with pneumonia. So, first things first. If you could, please send her well-wishes and prayers, and tell her that you love her over Twitter (@chicksonright). She’d appreciate that. She loves fuss, as you know, and right now, she needs the good kind of fuss. Pneumonia isn’t fun, and hospitals aren’t her favorite place.
While Mock has been in the hospital, I’ve been holding down the fort at our day job on the radio, and HOLY MOTHER OF CRAZY. Ever since the Women’s March this weekend, we’ve received some of the most batcrap emails I think we’ve had since our inception.
I have to say, though, one we got this morning was probably my favorite. This chick was completely unhinged. So I figured I share it with you – in Mock’s honor – because you KNOW how much she loves the Wall of Shame.
So Mock – this one’s for you, girl. Get better! LOVE AND HUGS! 🙂

Listen you young little woman I fought for you as did all of the mothers before you. You are standing on MY SHOULDERS. Get it? I fought so you could actually be able to speak and write whatever you want and have the freedom to make your own decisions as a woman. You are standing on MY Shoulders not because you can but because I fought for you to have the right. I respect your right to say whatever you want where ever and whenever and however. This has not come easily. Women have died to make it right and easy for you to say what you want. Don’t you ever think that that is not true because it is in the history. It is my history. I will defend your baby’s right to come into this world protected and cared for by a loving mother. I will defend your right to even tell your story. But get out of my womb. You have no right to tell me what I can and can’t do. And you have no right to expect that I should have to do what you want….get it?

To which I responded:
Judy,
I don’t recall ever telling you what to do (or anything, for that matter) or standing on your shoulders or climbing into your womb. Because, eeww.
Are you God? Are you a soldier? Are you actually suggesting that you’re somehow a foremother of feminism? Because from what I could see based on a really quick Google search, you’re an “Administrator at Network Therapies.” I’m not sure how that equates to you “fighting” for me and my freedom to both speak freely and/or have children. You didn’t do either of those things, Judy. You sent an email. And it’s a whole new level of batcrap crazy. And I can’t wait to read it on the air today.
Slow clap for you.

But I have fought here in America on behalf of women and child rights every
day of my life. So don’t go sounding so righteous that you have a right to
tell me what I am. Yes, I am a foremother of feminism, what are you?
I sent you an email but I’ve been fighting every day for the rights of
children and women. What have you done? ever?So blast away. You don’t hurt me.
batcrap craziness to you,
JC
And so of course I had to respond. AGAIN:
You’re the one who’s coming off as righteous. And stalk-y now, frankly. I simply responded to an unwanted (and unhinged) email, Judy.
Since you asked, though (and I’m being nice to answer you again – you’re welcome), I’m the co-CEO of a company that, in part, fights back against the lie that is modern American feminism. I’m also a very giddy-happy radio host, author, website owner, mom, and wife. My life rocks so hard.
It seems you’re a very unhappy victim of life, huh? That must suck to be so miserable. Sorry about that.
Anywho, I never “got into your womb,” lady. And I never “stood on (your) shoulders.”
Please seek help immediately. And quit writing me, or I’m going to have my administrators block you. It’s getting creepy now.
Amy Jo
Ah yes. Just another Wednesday at the office.
