I would be interested to know how the managers of this restaurant would go about discovering who their customers voted for. Doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of voting by secret ballot?
According to this, the Honolulu Cafe in Hawaii posted a sign on the door saying that they would refuse service to Trump voters because all Trump voters are Nazis and don’t deserve basic restaurant service –

Honolulu’s Café 8 ½ gets rave reviews on Yelp for its “Radiatore Verde” and “Italian stir fry,” among other popular dishes at the eclectic mom-and-pop restaurant – but the response to its new ‘policy’ barring pro-Trump patrons has been decidedly more mixed.
A bright yellow, handmade sign posted on the restaurant’s front glass door declares: “If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here! No Nazis.”
A photo of the sign was shared with FoxNews.com. One also is proudly posted on the café’s Facebook page, and was “liked” by some 40 people.
Hm… let’s see… the left screams bloody murder if a Christian bakery doesn’t want to participate in a same-sex wedding because it goes against their religious beliefs. But if a restaurant shuts its doors to people because of political disagreement, they’re being super-brave and taking a moral stand and everybody should follow their example.
But don’t worry! Because the store’s owners said that they were just joking – they wanted to make a point about how much they both hate Trump. They aren’t really going to deny service to Trump voters. Even though there’s a sign on the door of their business saying as much –
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the café was founded by Robert Warner, a former hair stylist for Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco and former restaurateur in Seattle, along with his wife Jali.
Reached for comment Tuesday, Jali downplayed the sign’s supposed ban. She told FoxNews.com the restaurant is not actually asking customers whether they voted for President-elect Trump, and said even if they see a customer with a Trump shirt, “we don’t put anything different [in] your food.”
Yeah… nobody’s going to mess with your food. Suuuuuuuure….
Oh, but guess what the best part of Jali Warner’s excuse for the sign? That people don’t have to go to their restaurant. They could TOTALLY find another place to eat if the sign really offends them that much –
“Robert just wants to express how much he doesn’t like Trump,” Jali said. “If people take it personally or it hurts them, we cannot help. That’s why we say they have [a] choice if they want to come or not come. We don’t force them.”
Sure, this would sound perfectly reasonable. You don’t like the way a business is run or the products that they offer? Go somewhere else! You don’t have to spend your time or money there.
Except we live in a world where progressives have destroyed that excuse. As any social justice lunatic, and everybody should feel safe and included at any public place – whether it’s a restaurant, store, bakery, college campus. You can’t make people feel unwelcome in your place of business! Even if it goes against your religious or political beliefs – YOU HAVE TO BAKE THEM A CAKE!
Sound familiar?
I honestly don’t care who the restaurant does or does not serve. They’re free to make those kinds of decisions, even if I think they’re stupid. I’m just pointing out the rank hypocrisy from the left when it comes to how private businesses are allowed to run. You know full well that if that sign said something like “We don’t cater gay weddings,” they would be run out of business by the end of the year.
Inclusion and diversity is only what the left says it is. Everyone else can pound sand.
