Candace Cameron Bure Is Leaving ‘The View’

Well, The View just got 10 times more craptastic. (I know. I didn’t think it was possible either.)

On Thursday, Candace Cameron Bure announced her plans to leave show entirely.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but before I started The View I had already had my commitments to Fuller House and my work with the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. And because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows,” she explained.

I feel like this has been coming for awhile. She hasn’t even been on the show recently. (She’s been busy filming Fuller House.) It all came down to juggling too much. She can’t do it all. After all, she’s only human.

“The commute of going West Coast to East Coast every single week for me has been tough on me and hard for my family as well, and I want to make sure that I’m able to spend at much time with my children and invest in all the projects that I do to the fullest extent,” she continued.

“I tried to be Superwoman, but I’m not,” she added.

Despite sitting on across the aisle politically, Cameron Bure was gracious and thanked her co-hosts, including Behar and Goldberg.

“Particularly, I want to thank you for welcoming me to this table,” she said. “I have learned to much for you, and I’m so grateful for you.”

I like Candace, but I have a really difficult time believing that Behar and Goldberg are capable of imparting any sort of wisdom. Just saying.

“It’s been really wonderful and I’m grateful and to Barbara [Walters, creator of the show] as well as showrunner Candi Carter,” she continued.

After Cameron Bure’s announcement, Carter released the following statement:

“On behalf of everyone at The View, it’s been a pleasure working with Candace, a devoted mother, talented actress, and passionate co-host who never hesitated to speak her mind. She will always be a part of The View family, and we will gladly welcome her back to the show to support her.”

It’s a bummer that a solid conservative is leaving the show, but let’s face it. The show’s a joke anyway.
