This is pretty much universally acknowledged – when it comes to politics, you leave politicians’ kids out of it. Especially minor kids. (If a politician’s adult children inject themselves into campaigns and such, that’s a different story).
But Rosie O’Donnell going after ten-year-old Barron Trump? No. Just, don’t.
Apparently, there’s a video going around speculating whether or not Barron Trump is autistic. Which I have to ask – what business is it of ours if he is or not? Have his parents made that a matter of official public record? And if it’s not true, then what is the point of it anyway?
But that doesn’t matter to Rosie O’Donnell, since she’s tweeting the video out and making it sound like Barron’s job as First Kid is to bring awareness to autism (I hate to break it to Rosie, but most people are aware that autism is definitely A Thing) –
Barron Trump Autistic? if so – what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic https://t.co/Acgy1Qxyqi via @YouTube

Seriously, Rosie? What kind of scumbag speculates if a kid has a disability? And even if he does, who are you to talk about that when his own parents haven’t even made it a topic of discussion in the public eye?
Besides, that clip came from Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention – which happened at, like, 3:00 in the morning. Barron was probably exhausted and wanted to go to bed.
Luckily, most people aren’t buying Rosie stirring the conspiracy pot –
@Rosie @YouTube autistic or not, the kid is not deserving of any of the bullshit that’s being said about him. America has become a fiasco.

@Rosie @YouTube You have no interest in Barron. You want to stir up trouble. Play fair. Don’t attack kids, Rosie! This is low, even for you!

@Rosie @YouTube ugh. Let’s not go there unless family announces. He didn’t ask for any of this. Hard rule always: kids off limits.

The dumb thing is that people are going to be saying that Barron’s mom and dad should announce if Barron is autistic. But if it’s not true, then they really have no reason to say anything, other than a bunch of crazy internet nuts decided to make it an issue.
People are awful. Few moreso than Rosie O’Donnell.
