October 20, 2016Sounds like Chris Cuomo’s had a change of heart on the WikiLeaks thing. Or CNN’s lawyers finally explained the legalities of reading stuff on the internet.
Far from accusing people of breaking the law when they read information posted on the internet for all to see, Cuomo actually tried to ask questions about those humiliating emails from Hillary’s campaign. He had the president of Center for American Progress and longtime Clinton advisor Neera Tanden on to talk about the emails that she specifically sent to John Podesta. And Tanden was not particularly forthcoming about her answers –

DANG… when Chris Cuomo – OF ALL PEOPLE – finally starts looking at the substance of these emails, rather than cry about Russian hackers, you know there’s trouble for Team Hillary.
Though Tanden didn’t exactly cover herself with glory in this segment. And Cuomo was absolutely right. If these were emails from anyone in the Trump campaign, Tanden and everyone else trying to get Hillary coronated elected would be going over those emails meticulously and pointing out all the reasons that Trump is not fit to be president. They’d be running to every news outlet they could and screaming about what was said in private email conversations. Russia wouldn’t even be MENTIONED.
Also – not to overstate the obvious – this cry about protecting the privacy of individuals connected with the Clinton campaign rings pretty hollow when you consider that Hillary Clinton didn’t give a crap about protecting the privacy of America’s own national security and state secrets. Team Clinton sure isn’t worried about Russian hackers when we suggest that the Russians (or whoever) could have hacked into the Queen’s private email server and all the classified information that was stored there.
So don’t try telling me that this is an issue of privacy. Then again, Hillary Clinton is only interested in protecting her own secrets.
