I’m just SEETHING over this tweet from Hillary Clinton in response to the Billy Bush/Donald Trump audio that came out Friday.
Here’s what she tweeted:
Is she freaking for real??!?? SHE IS MARRIED TO A RAPIST.
Which is why I tweeted this:
Look – if you’re a person who is genuinely surprised that Donald Trump has said crass things about women, then frankly, you’re a total moron. I actually loved his apology for this, which pointed out that Hillary Clinton’s husband has said worse to him on the golf course. Of COURSE he has. No one should be even the slightest bit surprised that dudes talk this way among other dudes. Is it gross? Of course. Is it inappropriate? Yup. Is it crass? Definitely. Is it a disqualifier for the office of the presidency? Well, if it is, then I would be willing to wager that NO PRESIDENT WE’VE EVER HAD EVER would be eligible to be president. And if you think otherwise, then frankly, you’re kind of naive.
The fact that liberals are trotting out this audio as if it’s somehow newsworthy or significant in any way is UTTER NONSENSE.
How can Hillary suggest even for a moment that this disqualifies Trump from being president, when she is married to a former president who was freaking IMPEACHED for lying about shoving cigars into the vaginal area of an intern he wasn’t married to – in the FREAKING OVAL OFFICE?
Incidentally, I’m not going to apologize for being crass just now, because it was far more crass for the former president to RAPE AND SEXUALLY ASSAULT WOMEN than it is for me to be graphic about his behavior. Hillary apparently thinks it’s perfectly appropriate for her to be president, even though she is married to and continues to defend a RAPIST. It was OK for her cheating, lying, rapist husband to be president, but because Trump said some crass things about trying to “f*ck” a chick, we “cannot allow this man to be president.”
Since when did words start speaking more loudly than actions?
This is a non-story. It might have been a story had Trump’s opponent not been an apologist for a rapist, but yeah. It’s not a story.
