John Kerry Thinks The Media Covers Terrorism Too Much

You don’t think that – oh, I don’t know – that terrorism happens too much? That you – as Secretary of State – might want to do something about it?

According to this, John Kerry thinks that the solution to people being afraid of terrorism is if the media would just shut up about it. So, like, if a terrorist drives a truck through a crowd of people, or shoots up a gay nightclub, or opens fire in a satirical newspaper’s office, or shoots people in a Bangladeshi diplomatic district, the news should just run a story about the Kardashians or something –

“No country is immune from terrorism,” Kerry told journalists in Dhaka. “It’s easy to terrorize. Government and law enforcement have to be correct 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. But if you decide one day you’re going to be a terrorist and you’re willing to kill yourself, you can go out and kill some people. You can make some noise.”

“Perhaps the media would do us all a service if they didn’t cover it quite as much,” he added. “People wouldn’t know what’s going on.”

“People wouldn’t know what’s going on.” And a leftist goon like John Kerry would just LOVE that, wouldn’t he? Keep people in the dark. Keep people ignorant. Keep your loyal low-info crowd, well, low-info. Nothing to see here, minions. Move along. Enjoy your bread and circuses. Oh look! Beyonce just walked out her door!
