With both of the conventions well over, we should start to see the polls evening out. Donald Trump enjoyed a sizable post-convention boost, as well as Hillary Clinton. The last Reuters/Ipsos poll showed Hillionaire up by six points, 41% to 35% (25% chose “other”). But according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Friday, Hillary’s lead over Trump is narrowing. She’s now up by less than 3 percentage points, which is well within the margin of error.
About 42 percent of likely voters favored Clinton, to Trump’s 39 percent, according to the July 31-Aug. 4 online poll of 1,154 likely voters. The poll had a credibility interval of plus or minus 3 percentage points, meaning that the results suggest the race is roughly even.
Here’s RCP’s current average:
Hopefully that’s the new trend– Hillary losing her momentum. A few more “I may have short-circuited” gaffes and maybe we can keep her down for good.
